Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements, New Castle, Indiana

A comprehensive review of the New Castle Wastewater Treatment Plant was performed to assess the condition and identify necessary upgrades and improvements to the facility. Improvements identified include two new turbo blowers dedicated to their solids handling process for operational flexibility with associated air piping, structural, electrical and control improvements; new grating throughout the plant and new handrail in select locations both to improve operations and maintenance staff safety. This project will be funded via grant money available from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs to assist the city financially with the project costs. The project cost is estimated to be $750,000.
