RQAW Corporation is proud to have served as the Engineer for the Indiana Toll Road (ITR) from 1980 to 2007, when the road was leased to a Concessionaire. From 1980 to 2007 RQAW was the Engineer for the ITR, and we have been performing the audit functions on a variety of elements included in the Lease Agreement since 2009. During that time, we conducted annual reports summarizing the general condition of the toll road and its facilities; prepared biennial reports for all of the bridge structures under jurisdiction of the toll road; and helped prepare two of the major undertakings of the toll road. The 1980 Toll Road Improvement Program included six new interchanges, and the Toll Road Project 2000 included the addition of a third traveling lane on a portion of the toll road. From 2009 to 2017, RQAW has served as auditor for the Indiana Finance Authority, and we inspected each building facility with respect to maintenance and compliance with the Lease Agreement, and we inspected all of the roadway with respect to pavement conditions, lighting, and observations prior to and during snow events. We look at everything from mechanical/electrical/plumbing to the structural integrity for each facility on the Indiana Toll Road. There are over 330 bridges on the Indiana Toll Road, and RQAW has inspected all of them.
