Lawrence Readiness Center

RQAW designed 4 units totaling 96,000 square feet for this Readiness Center located in the old Fort Benjamin Harrison Army Base.  548 soldiers from the 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team were accommodated on a 28-acre site. The project included lockers and shower rooms, an assembly hall with a basketball court, kitchen facilities, and a tiered classroom with seating for approximately 150 people. There is private off-street parking for 335 automobiles, along with a military vehicle parking area paved with 10,950 square yards of crushed stone. The development cost a total of $14,146,000. Services provided by RQAW included:  Architectural Planning and Design, Construction Administration, Security Design, and Homeland Security Consulting.
